Camp Activities

Our dance campers have access to everything Bryn Mawr traditional camp offers from adventure, aquatic, art, athletics, fitness, & equestrian activities. During designated campus and evening activity time, dancers can choose where they want to spend their time.

ADVENTURE

Dancers get to see camp from a different perspective by reaching new bounds on the ropes course, scaling our climbing walls, and speeding down the zipline. All adventure activities are “challenge by choice,”  meaning campers work at their own comfort level in a positive, pressure-free environment.

POOL

Dancers can cool down or kick up the fun in the outdoor pool kept at 86 degrees. Best for swimming, floating, and an impromptu pool party!

LAKE

The fun doesn’t stop when it comes to lake activities. Dance campers love to practice their jumps in the air off our floating AquaJump, paddle on boogie boards or canoes, catch frogs and fish, cruise in paddle boats, and more.

ARTS

The SHAC is home to Bryn Mawr arts and crafts, with a separate ceramics building. Beads, leather, wood, decoupage, textiles, and clay are just a few examples of media that our girls work with. Additionally, campers can practice the art of cooking or get a flair for the dramatic by taking part in theatre performances.

ATHLETICS

Bryn Mawr dancers use our athletic facilities to play things like newcomb, dodgeball, kickball, and to take advantage of a fan favorite, the foam pit.

FITNESS

In addition to moving and grooving in the studio, dancers have the option of complimenting their dancing with practices like aerobics, pilates, yoga, spinning, and strength training—all taught by certified instructors.
